Notice of Changes to KYC Documentation Requirements

Dear Rubi Network mining community,

We would like to announce some changes to the regulations related to the KYC verification process to ensure better security, accuracy, and efficiency. These changes will help us verify miners' identities more reliably.

1. Acceptance of Driver’s Licenses for KYC doccument

We are pleased to announce that from now on, the Rubi network will accept driver’s licenses as a valid document for KYC. A driver’s license is an important and reliable document that enhances authenticity during the verification process.

After compiling and evaluating the KYC process results over the past month, we found that KYC faced many challenges due to the diversity in language, types, and versions of ID cards from various countries, regions, provinces, and states. Hundreds of types and models of ID cards were provided for KYC requests, lacking uniformity, leading to difficulties and delays in verification.

In the recent conference on May 20, we agreed that the documents applicable for KYC include:
✓• ID Card
✓• Passport
✓• Driver’s License (New)
Thus, we have expanded the acceptance of documents to three types instead of two.

Based on the statistics and performance evaluation of the KYC process over the past month, we acknowledge and appreciate the convenience and uniformity of Driver’s Licenses and Passports. Therefore, we propose the following priority order when submitting KYC requests: Passport > Driver’s License > ID Card. This means if you possess all three documents, you should proceed with KYC using your Passport, as this is the preferred document for our verifiers.

2. Additional KYC Rules - Effective May 25

a) Restriction on Paper-Based ID Cards or Self-Printed Information

To ensure accuracy and prevent fraud, we will not accept paper-based ID cards or self-printed information. ID cards must be issued by an authorized government agency and made from durable, secure materials.

Reason: Paper-based or self-printed ID cards are easily forged and do not ensure high authenticity like official cards made from durable materials.

 b) No Acceptance of Photos Taken from a Phone or Computer Screen

We will not accept photos of documents taken from another phone or computer screen. These images are easily edited and do not guarantee the accuracy and integrity of the documents.

Reason: Photos taken from screens can be altered, leading to inaccurate information and difficulty in verification.

c) Edited Images or Forged Documents

Rubi is a type of asset generated and owned by real people; thus, any fraudulent activity detected is considered a serious community violation. Violations of this level will certainly lead to the complete removal of the mining account from the network. Any images edited to deceive the verifier are considered fraudulent acts.

Conclusion

The above-mentioned changes are implemented to enhance the security and reliability of the KYC process in the Rubi network. We hope that miners will understand and comply with these new regulations to build a stronger and more trustworthy community together.
